Ratings and Reputation, what are they??
You may have noticed new things available, such as a button labelled "Rating" and this button in the posters profile
, which is reputation.
We'll start with the Rating button...
If you think it is a good thread, click the down arrow beside the Rating label, and give it a score of 1-5. You'll see these now appear
, and the number of them determines if overall it is a good thread. If I give a thread a rating of 5, and Brad gives it a 1, the average will be 3. So you guys effectively get to vote on good threads. This makes finding useful info easier for all members.
Reputation is basically a way of seeing who adds valuable content.
If you think a person has posted a great post, give them reputation points. If you think they're full of shit, you can take points away. Simple as that. Sort of a mini competition for our members...
If you hover over the little icon
on a users profile, you'll see how their reputation is advancing.
Enjoy

Does this reputation thingy require references or is just based on hearsay.
Then again I could just bribe people as per SOP.
