Default Good day for a ride

Woke up this morning , & looked like a good day for a ride .
So I downed tools , pulled the covers off the SV , made sure I had wind in the tyres & set sail!!
Gods own country when it rains. Headed south west from clermont towards the drummond ranges, down a quiet back road all to my self, i only passed 2 cars in 200k , good seal (only new) & some nice fast sweepers, life is good.

It's not all smooth sailing , still some dirt to cross, if you don't like stone chips stay at home on this one!
Anyway onwards for a quick stop at the gemfields (the place where the movie Buddies was made if anyone remembers that!) Had to take a pic for Rusty of the drilling rig, old percussion type rig I believe even before your time Rusty??

Then on to the willows for smoko, a little town out in the middle of nowhere & about 30k of fast sweeping bend just recently sealed , good bends just don't run of line , plenty of bloody marbles but bloody good fun. The shop doubles as post office /outdoor pub/library/ caravan park!!
Then a quick trip across to Lake fairbairn & turn & head for home , a good day just short of 600klm.

I've been thinking about the Vrod lamp for over a year... still a little undecided... which is not like me.

Yes, there will be some naked travelling over the next couple of months.

    Yeah like the old rigs.

Found a few on my latest trip, out at Biloela.

There are a few in sheds around Mackay.

The oldest would be a Southern Cross No 1 at Gibsons home farm behind Racecouse Mill.

Is it a fairly stock sv, or have you had a good play?

Few bits modded for the better, engine is basically stock , wasn't chasing any more ponies . just been smoothed out is all,
throttle body mods , Air box mods,"pair" system removal, tps recalibrated, gearing changed, speedo healer, some wiring mods (turn headlight & fuzz buster on & off), was an "s" so converted to nakid with billet top tripples & renthal bars,V-rod light & custom bracket, bit of polishing here & there, quick respray in CA red, few other odds & ends , ohh penske rear shock & some minor fork mods.
So apart from that pretty stock
