Default Aust Day Weekend 4 dayer.

    Aust Day Weekend 4 dayer.
    23-26 Jan 2010.

    Plan atm is go south.
    Brisbane Valley.
    Sunshine coast hinterland.
    Downs perhaps.

    Down via Burnett.
    Up via coast roads

Current plan is go by myself.
No-one is obliged to go, nor apologise for not going. OK?

But if you are interested LMK.

Going to test the rig and the rider.
And have a look at some of the roads i haven't seen in 20 years.

    Cheers R.

Note: If the weather in the north looks better than that of the south.
    Well there's always the tablelands.

Suspect i'm gonna get a wet arse for my trouble.
But, got to take it as i find it.

Will also be looking for power stations and sugar mills along the way.
Not a fascination others may share, but the pics will be in the tale.

Nearly have the plan fomented, or is that fermented?
Depends on finding a good pub or two.

don't like getting wet boots eh? lol

Well I went and there was no one, shot over to city gates, there was no one lol...

waited around for one of the scud storms to shoot over and Al turned up.

we the proceeded up to marian, turned off and down to eton, sarina, it was all good until some tin can pushed me off the road into the mud and puddles lol, at 110km/r wet'n'soaked road edges are not fun!, got through OK with a kick to the car with said shoe on the way past.

bit of rain heading passed sarina range ie wet.

got to hay point pub for a pint, dry off a bit and off home.

    was a pretty good cruize.

    a picky:

    Yes i did go.
    And i'm back!

Did 2675 kms in 4 days.
So much cornerage by monday afternoon i was nearly sick of it...not another long flat left hander...

The weather was good all the way, did not get the wet arse i was expecting!
In fact the sunshine coast hinterland was spectacular on monday morning.

I'm told the weather over the weekend here was perfect for staying in sheds polishing knobs.
So i trust your knobs are all shiney now!

    Ride report will follow.

    Cheers R.
