If anyone has a copy of the txt to the editor, can you please scan it and post it here? Seems some person is upset at bikes going through suburbia on a Wednesday night. THis is exactly the sort of thing we are fighting against![]()

I know for a fact there are people complaining to the cops about bikes in suburbia most weeks... I've made my opinion on this pretty clear in the past... it's causing problems for all of us.
I had a look at the bully online and it seems 'text the editor' is not part of the online publication...
This is EXACTLY the sort of thing that we're up against every day. Its going to be a bit of an ask to change public perceptions but we've got off on the right foot here and i believe we can make a change. The quotes in the paper only serve to strengthen our resolve to publicly portray a very different imagemy2c
My scanner is fruited
So here it is word for word:
To the 20+ motorbike riders hooning from mooney st on to bayswater rd wed night, come past again so i can video you doing your monos. My neighbours and i didn't appreciate you lot waking our kids at 930pm either... Hope the cops set up radars again! E, cjong
Sorry did not read it but i did see em all go past on the wen night while i was doing night shift and man there was alot of bikes in that group!
Has any one seen a letter to the editor i posted a week or so ago about the death trap of a round about at the BP cluden turn off? I dont think they will run it untill somone is killed or maimed there due to the center being filled with large jagged rocks! Now i also hear that the new bypass road is going to be lined with chees cutter saftey barreirs that are specificly designed to kill bike riders in an emergency situation. Sorry just a rant
Ive heard that this mob might be swapping riding nights to Friday...
Hey Brad,
I don't have a list of contacts to key areas just yet, but will gather what I can from outgoing MRA committee and then I will investigate the wire barrier issue.
Do we know who is responsable for the bypass - council, main roads qld or federal? As the representative of the MRA I'm willing to look into this, that's our goal.......question is how many riders will back us when we start the fight? I don't expect everyone to speak out but will they stand behind us? Will all riders sign the partitions, attend the demonstrations or be prepared to park on some politicians door step?
The National boddies (MRA, MQ, MA & AMC etc) will happily voice the opinions of our fellow riders but will ALL of you stand behind us when it counts?
OK off my soap box now.
Fo shizzle... you don't need to be a member of the MRA to sign a petition... there is a place you can create online petitions, then all you gotsta do is email around the link... you might be surpirsed at the signature rate...
Here's one for you... GoPetition
And here's one the MRAA already started back in February for front number plates... it's still active and still in the top 50 petitions!
You've got my support Andrew, give 'em hell!
