  1. Phwoar... It's been a while...

    Wow, it's been a while since I updated the old blog...

    So, what has happened since the last update...

    We successfully held the Burdekin Motorcycles/NQRiders Dyno Day a couple of weeks ago. Thanks to the great folks at Burdekin Motorcycles, as well as Michelin Tyres, Meguirs and Collins Leathers. It was absolutely fantastic.

    My R1 is still down there, getting a few things done, like braided lines, a service, and new tyres, as well as fitting the new YEC ...

  2. Another great Friday Night

    What a great bunch of people... Nice night for a ride, and everyone gets time and place... So many funny and great stories told too and everyone has an interesting story...

    Then I come home, just in time to watch the WSBK live timing...

    I know, it's geeky as hell to get excited watching numbers flicking over, and boring as batshit to most, but I love it. You get to see the improvements between sessions, and using imagination, it's even better.

  3. Walking frames and the like

    Wow, I made it to 40. When I was 20, I never thought I would survive this long, I had envisaged being a 1km long smear on the road, taken out at high speed by a semi or something. Thankfully that hasn't happened... I wouldn't have met the people that have shone so brightly, and wouldn't have sampled all that I have.

    Last week, when in the throws of Ross River Virus, I didn't particularly feel like I was going to survive...

  4. Almost 12 months..

    Wow time flies. The R1 is about to turn 2, and NQRiders is about to turn 1.

    And what an amazing 12 months it has been. I'll add to this when it's time to reflect on the previous 12 months but for now, I couldn't be happier with the way things have panned out.

  5. Script Kiddies

    Well, we got absolutely smashed last week by script kiddies trying Denial Of Service (DoS) attacks. See Wiki's entry...

    It's frustrating cause it bumped the monthly download over the limit, which resulted in packet shaping down to 64k bi-directional.

    Anyway, they seem to have given up.
